Yogini Purohit is the Senior Executive Director of Finance & HR in Student Affairs. In this role, she works closely with the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, Assistant Vice Chancellor, Administration, and leadership across Student Affairs, providing strategic oversight and leadership in budget management, finance, administration/HR, compliance, planning, and operations.

The Finance & HR team under Yogini’s direction supports a broad range of functions within Student Affairs, including purchasing, accounts payable, travel & entertainment, contracts, general ledger/accounting, budget planning, fund management, recruitment, hiring/onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee labor relations, compensation, training, and compliance.

Originally from Nairobi, Kenya, Yogini has been a part of the Los Angeles community for over four decades. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Yogini is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has earned the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation, reflecting her advanced proficiency in finance, operations, strategy, and management.

Additionally, she completed a Certificate in Advanced Leadership and Management from UCLA Anderson School of Management. Prior to joining UCLA Student Affairs, she worked for 15 years at UCLA Extension as the Chief Financial Officer.

Yogini is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to support our staff and our students. She approaches her work with a strong emphasis on strategic planning, fiscal stewardship, HR relations, and process improvement, all while supporting the division’s mission and goals.

In her leisure time, Yogini enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and spending quality time with her family.
