    ‘Hope Connects Us’: UCLA launches campaign to strengthen student mental health
    Colleges across the country are confronting what many leaders and clinicians say is a sustained mental health crisis, with national surveys documenting increased rates of anxiety, loneliness, depression and suicidal thoughts among students. What was once a growing concern is now widely recognized as one of higher education’s most urgent challenges.

    UCLA’s Sustainable Bruin Move Out saves tons — literally
    Keeping furniture off curbs, minifridges far from landfills and tableware out of the trash, UCLA’s annual Sustainable Bruin Move Out helped students leaving campus for the summer find new homes for useful belongings they were unable to pack or no longer needed.

    Mothers make it happen. So when Tahlia Disisto, 34, a sociology major and math minor who will graduate this June, had an important Zoom interview and a sick 2-year-old on her hands, she took care of both with aplomb.
