Karen Hedges is a seasoned leader in Student Affairs with more than two decades of experience in advancing student development and leadership. Holding a Master’s in Higher Education, Karen has committed her career to empowering students with the skills, knowledge, and resources to not only thrive independently but also make meaningful contributions to society. She is deeply passionate about holistic student support, ensuring that individuals can achieve both self-sufficiency and long-term success. As the Interim Director of Financial Education, Loan and Support Services at UCLA, Karen oversees Debt Management Services, the Economic Crisis Response Team, Financial Wellness, Loan Services, and the Basic Needs Center at Strathmore. Her work continues to shape student futures by providing them with critical tools for personal and professional growth.
