Emily Dahlem Director, Veteran Services she, her, hers

Dr. Emily Dahlem is the Director of Veteran Services. This department, within Student Affairs, provides programs and services designed to support students who have served or are currently serving in the United States Armed Forces, and their dependents: adult, children, and spouses/partners.
During her career at UCLA, Emily has worked in a variety of Student Affairs disciplines including facility management; staff training and development; risk management; aquatics; and support to underrepresented student populations including homeless youth, foster youth, students with children/dependents, undocumented students, and transfer students. Prior to UCLA, Emily held positions at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) in Lincoln, Nebraska and a federally funded nonprofit research and development center.
A Los Angeles native, Emily received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from UNL. She went on to receive her master’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in Education with a concentration in student affairs and earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from UCLA.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys hiking, reading, cooking, and fly fishing
