COVID-19 Fall Vaccine Requirement

Date: August 13, 2021
From: Monroe Gorden, Jr., J.D., Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs

Dear Bruins,

The fall quarter is almost here and we are excited to invite students back to campus. As you have read in the July 15, 2021 message from the University of California Office of the President, University of California students will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least 14 days prior to the first day of instruction for the fall term, with limited exceptions. UCLA students can consult the Arthur Ashe Health and Wellness Center electronic patient portal, which contains information necessary for students to comply with the requirement. Students living, learning, or working on campus or other UCLA facilities, who have not yet received a vaccination or uploaded a vaccination verification, will need to do so quickly as time is running out to be in compliance with the Policy.

More information related to the requirement – ranging from vaccine education and verification to general information related to stopping the spread of COVID-19 – can be accessed from the below links:

If you have additional questions about the COVID-19 vaccines or about satisfying the immunization requirements, please review our Frequently Asked Questions website or reach out to AsheImmune@ashe.ucla.edu. UCLA Extension students will receive a separate communication regarding satisfying the COVID-19 vaccination requirement, including contact information for questions.

Through the individual efforts of each member of our Bruin community, we can collectively protect UCLA from high rates of spread of COVID-19. We thank and appreciate you in advance for adhering to UCLA’s COVID-19 vaccination policy.

Sincerely,

Monroe Gorden
Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs
