Personal Milestones

Congratulations to John Funicello, Student Health Services, who reports, “I recently married on November 20th to Peggy Cabrera. Peggy and I dated for 7 years. We took a cruise to Mexico for our honeymoon. We are both extremely happy.”

And it’s a special year for Adrian Martinez, Facilities and Materiel Manager of the Ashe Center. Adrian and his wife, Carmen, had a baby boy, their first, on Jan 16. Adrian Alejandro weighed in at 8 lb. 1 oz. and was 20.5 inches.

Shane Reynolds in Cultural and Recreational Affairs, and his wife, Larissa, are the happy parents of Penelope Holiday Reynolds. Penelope was born at UCLA on Jan. 31st. She weighed 8 lbs. 12 ounces and was 22 inches long.

And Recreation started planning for another future Bruin when Rudy Figueroa and his wife, Stephanie, welcomed John Rudy Figueroa into the world on January 19th. Johnny was 5lbs 11 ounces and 20” long. Dad Rudy notes, “We weren’t due until around the middle of February. When we went to the hospital, I thought it was a false alarm.”
