New Arrivals in Student Affairs

Career Center

Katina (Kati) Boyd, joined the Career Center as a Career Assistant, Information Services.  Kati graduated UCLA in June 2005 with a bachelor's degree in English and a minor in art history. While at UCLA, she worked as an office assistant in the Office of Residential Life and, for the last two years, has worked as a bookseller at Borders in Santa Monica. Out of over 30 applicants, Kati was the top candidate.

Joshua Dunn recently joined the full time staff in the Internship and Study Abroad (ISA) office at the UCLA Career Center as an Administrative Assistant.  While attending UCLA, he completed three internships through the California State Senate office in Sacramento, the California Attorney General's office in Los Angeles, and the D.C. Superior Court in Washington, D.C. He also worked as a stipend student through ISA and recently completed his bachelor's degree. Given the amount of rich experience that he brings, this transition into the ISA team seemed logical and he's excited to have this contribute to this dynamic team.

Ryan Singzon,  Information Technology Specialist, is another new member of the Career Center team.  Ryan received his BS degree in Computer Science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.  He brings to the organization broad experience in technical support and programming. His most recent experiences included four years in Cal Poly College of Business Administration’s IT department, supporting faculty, staff, and students, and over a year in the Metropolitan Water District.  Ryan has the experience and enthusiasm we need to realize the organization’s information technology strategies and projects.

Student Affairs Administration

Monroe Gorden, Jr. joined the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs as Chief Administration Officer (CAO) this past February.

As Chief Administrative Officer for Student Affairs, Monroe will directly supervise the administrative components of the Office of the Vice Chancellor including financial planning, human resources, facility and space management, technological services, staff development, and emergency planning.  He will also be involved with new initiatives and other key functions for the Vice Chancellor and for the divisions of Student Affairs.

Monroe earned his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1997 from Pepperdine School of Law, and he holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from UCLA in Political Science with a business emphasis.
