Success doesn't
happen by accident. Simply holding a degree from UCLA won't be enough
to land a good job in an employment market that is as competitive
as is today's. Only the well prepared can hope to succeed. UCLA's
Career Center is a tremendous resource for students and alumni who
would like to gain an edge in the job market and receive support
towards planning their professional future.
Career planning
should start early, even during freshman year, when the Center can
help students lay out a four-year plan. Says Kathy Sims, Director
of UCLA's Career Center, "The biggest mistake students make
is to assume the Career Center is only there to help seniors get
jobs."
